History of the Council
An organization's worth can easily be weighed by its works. What it does for its members, their families, communities and Church is an unmistakable expression of the virtue, vitality and vigor of its aims.
The following brief outline of the functions of the Knights of Columbus clearly shows the impelling inspiration flowing from its ideals of Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism. The order has spent over 100 years doing good for God and man.
This Council was organized as St. Joseph Council # 3402 in March 1951 and formally instituted on April 22, 1951 with 90 charter members. The month of March is also known as Founder's Month of the order.
